Meet the Brand - Pro Arte
Who are Pro Arte?
Pro Arte is a UK-based manufacturer that creates excellent-quality artists’ paintbrushes. Since their establishment in 1973 by Roy Thompson, Pro Arte has stood proudly as one of the industry’s foremost innovators with over 50 years of expertise.
Pro Arte's brushes are handcrafted in England and loved by artists around the world. With brushes both natural and synthetic, suitable for oils, acrylics, and watercolours, they create brushes for every kind of artist.

The Prolene Brush Range
First launched in 1979, Pro Arte Prolene brushes are made from a high-quality synthetic hair which is exceedingly hard-wearing and durable. Since then, they've remained a reliable staple of many artists' kits.
Prolene is an excellent option for watercolour artists as they can retain their shape, point and spring extremely well, whilst also possessing great colour-holding qualities.
