Print Making

Screen printing is a method of printing images or patterns onto fabric, paper or canvas using a wooden or metal screen with an ultra fine mesh fabric stretched over the top. Inks are pushed through the mesh and onto the substrate leaving a pattern or design made by a stencil. 

This was originally an ancient and traditional Chinese method of printing using silk threads to create the finely woven mesh fabric. It has been used for centuries, and within the last 100 years in both the commercial industries; printed fabrics, textiles, clothing, and interior fabrics and in the Fine Art sector; for Posters, Fine Art Canvases, contemporary Textile Artwork.
