I have a fascination for faces, be they of people, or of animals. My brain does work in rather peculiar ways, and so these often end up being 'quirky' in my paintings. Often simply a scene catches my eye, and I have to try to capture that moment. I'm almost a self-taught artist; I did attend Glasgow School of Art briefly to complete what is now called the Folio Preparation class. I have no shame in saying that I work solely in oils on linen (as I believe it gives me the best results), nor that I work from photos (simply because my eyes don't work well!!). I do also draw, but less frequently these days.
