HI Isabel Tipple, in answer to your question, ‘Can they go over the top of acrylics?’, we haven’t tried them over acrylic paint unfortunately, so cannot give you a complete answer. The success of mixing these two different mediums together would depend on how thick or textured your layers of acrylic paint are? only experimentation would allow you to find out. We have read that if you wish to create a background first, Derwent Inktense blocks work very well and are permanent. They apparently provide a lovely matte background. Sorry we can’t be much more help but do tell us of your outcomes.
kind regards Ellie
