Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Studio Set

Artisan paints are designed to look and work just like traditional oil paint, however they can be used without hazardous solvents - they're happy being thinned down and cleaned up with water. This makes them especially good for artists who share a workspace or don't want solvents in school or at home.

Like traditional oil colour, Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour is made from linseed oil and safflower oil, though this has been modified so that they will mix and clean with water. Artisan has a thick, buttery consistency with a slow drying time, and each colour has a high degree of permanency and high pigment strength.
