My name is Mark Hebblewhite, and I am an independent artist working and living in Kingston upon Hull. I'm currently working on a body of work titled 'Persistent Offender' exploring various themes juxtaposing interesting imagery with bold vibrant contrasting colours. These acrylic paintings loosely combine elements of street-art, pop-art and graffiti. I have many diverse styles of painting but recently it has been dominated by these bold bright and colourful canvases. The strict controlled discipline of portraiture has taken a back seat as this new body of work explores satire, communication and an anarchic view of the 21st century.
