No. 3 (Rounded Edge Palette Knife)

Palette knife with a rounded end and extended blade length. Used for spreading large amounts of paint really fast and creating broader strokes and soft blending. Great for putting on a ground colour onto a large canvas. This knife can even cut soft clay.

No. 4 (Wide Round Ended Palette Knife)

Palette knife with a wider blade than no 3. Used for spreading even larger amounts of thick paint and sgraffito techniques. Excellent for blending colours on large canvases or for getting large amounts of paint from paint tins and tubs, great for mixing paint in tubs. Excellent for mixing paint on a palette. Great for laying ground colours down fast onto a canvas. This knife can even cut soft clay.

No. 5 (Small Diamond Trowel)

Good for creating fine lines, sharp details, and controlled strokes, ideal for intricate designs and filling geometric shapes. Great for sgraffito, and scraping techniques or scraping dried paint off the palette.

No. 6 (Large Diamond Shaped Trowel)

This diamond shaped Trowel knife has sharper edges than the other knives. Holds larger amounts of paint. Excellent for creating sharp, edge, shapes on the canvas, moving and shaping impasto paints. The point can be used to create small details.

This palette knife is stiffer than the other palette knives. It works really well at providing additive and subtractive techniques. Adding paint onto the surface or taking paint off the canvas. This scraper palette knife is also great for moving paint and using for scumbling techniques.

Excellent palette knife for laying down colours, mixing and blending thick paint or thin paint on the canvas with the side of the spatula. Use the edge to spread then flatten the spatula out to mix the colours together. The rounded tip can be used for mark making or pushing small amounts of paint around the canvas, and for creating some dedicated areas and passages of colour.

Offset Blades keep knuckles from getting too close to the surface and spoiling the wet paint already laid down. This Trowel shaped blade has a sharper edge, ideal for painting more geometric shapes and creating sharp lines and intricate details with the point.
