Pro Arte Renaissance Substitute Mop Brush - Series RSM

This range of Renaissance Mop Brushes from Pro Arte were developed as a substitute for the Renaissance Pure Squirrel range due to the scarcity of hair supply and increased costs. These brushes are manufactured from soft black goat hair, which is intended to mimic the qualities of pure squirrel hair.

Despite not being precisely the same, these goat hair brushes are said to have similar colour holding properties and even a bit more spring for better control. While they might not point as precisely as pure squirrel hair brushes, they still hold their shape well and are enjoyable to use for watercolour wash work.

These brushes are a practical and cost-effective alternative for artists looking to achieve similar results to the more expensive pure squirrel brushes.
