PanPastels - Pearl Mediums

PanPastel Pearl Mediums are the world's first dry colour pastel mediums. They have the same characteristics as all PanPastel Colours - they are mixable, erasable, low dust, lightfast and professional artist's quality.

No preparation or drying time is required with PanPastel Mediums, as neither solvents nor water is needed. They are versatile and can be use on almost any surface, making them great for mixed media work.

PanPastel Pearl Mediums add a lustrous pearlescent sheen and shimmer, which changes depending on the angle they are viewed from, adding dimension to artwork. The Pearl Mediums are mica based and can be mixed with all PanPastel Colours for custom pearlescent colours or used on their own for mixed media.

White Pearl Medium: Create custom pearlescent colours

• White: Pearl Medium to tint colours and add a soft pearlescent sheen.
• Fine: Contains smaller mica particles to create a soft & subtle pearl sheen.
• Coarse: Contains larger mica particles for more shimmery sparkle.

Black Pearl Mediums: Create rich jewel tones

• Black: Use on its own or mix the Black Pearl Mediums with PanPastel Colors to create shimmering darks and shades for rich, jewel-like effects.
• Coarse: Contains larger mica particles to create a more shimmery sparkle.
• Fine: Contains smaller mica particles for a soft & subtle pearl sheen.

Colorless Blender: The PanPastel Colorless Blender is a medium that can be used for a variety of new effects including increasing transparency and enhancing colour “flow”. It can be used before colour is applied (under the colour), or mixed with the colour after it is applied. It also has all the characteristics of PanPastel Colors i.e. mixable, erasable, low dust, lightfast and professional artist’s quality.
