Liquitex Pouring Medium

Liquitex Pouring Medium creates even puddles and flowing applications when mixed with Acrylic Paint. This allows different colours of paint to run and flow into each other without mixing and muddying. It is great for marbling effects and abstract colour work. It does not crack, craze or hold bubbles in the paint film upon drying and retains a high gloss, wet appearance when dry. Being transparent, it will not affect the colours mixed with it.

How To Use

• Fully intermixable with all Liquitex acrylic colours.
• For best pours, start with with a tablespoon of Soft Body colour or Acrylic Ink to a cup of Pouring Medium (around 5% colour to 95% medium) and adapt to suit your technique
• To use with Acrylic Ink, Heavy Body Acrylic or Soft Body Acrylic, adjust ratio to get your desired consistency
• Stir gently to avoid creating foam - if bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles rise and disappear
• Crazing and cracking can occur when the flow heights are very uneven so ensure your poured surface is level when drying
• To achieve a matte-look pour we suggest using a matt spray varnish as pouring medium imparts gloss characteristics once dry.
