This set contains 36 high quality Faber-Castell Polychromos Artists' Pencils enclosed in a convenient and easily portable tin.

The term “Polychromos” derives from the Greek words ‘poly’ (many) and ‘chroma’ (colour). There are 120 colours in the Polychromos product range. Launched on the market in 1908. Polychromos pencils provide the highest break resistance, unmatched light resistance, excellent colour brilliance, wiping and water resistance and an optimal paintability.

Polychromos artists' pencils are valued internationally by professional artists and semi-professionals for their unsurpassed quality. 

We recommend you use these fabulously smooth oil based pencil crayons with cartridge paper or slightly textured pastel paper. 

The choice of drawing paper depends on the artists' drawing style. Paper grain sizes and textures influence the brushstrokes.

Just one colour pencil can produce different lines by varying pressure intensity. Lines can be fine, wide, light or dark. For detailed work pencil can be hold nearer the tip.
