Soft Pastels

Sometimes called Dry Pastels, Soft Pastels are drawing sticks made from a combination of pigment and transparent binder. They're similar to oil pastels, but are significantly more dry and crumbly in use, making them a great option for creating soft gradients and smudging effects. Soft pastels are also quite easy to erase, making them ideal for both more spontaneous, expressive artists and for those who like an extra degree of control.
