The great majority of canvases are manufactured overseas and those manufacturers are trying to cope with a huge surge in global demand.

Loxley Ashgate canvases are made with more openly weaved Cotton duck which is sized than double primed. This provides a slightly ‘toothier’ surface texture ideal for many styles of painting.
The Ashgate range is available in both traditional 17mm (standard) depth and 36mm (Chunky) depth versions across many sizes including sizes A1 to A5. With staple & tack free sides, these canvases can be either framed or displayed as painted.
