Welcome to Episode 3!
This episode, Ellie Jakeman, guides you through how to use your new brushes with mark-making, textures and patterns......

Like so often does with art supplies, selecting paintbrushes comes down to personal preference. Your choice rests on the watercolor techniques you like to use, how much you're willing to spend, and ultimately how certain brushes feel in your hand.
Brushes are simply tools that perform different tasks.
We have showcased Round, Flat and Fan brushes from our own ARTdiscount collection. Our brushes are the ultimate synthetic watercolour brushes and therefore animal friendly, crafted from Taklon, using a blend of differing hair diameters, these brushes give a combination of colour holding, precision and endurance.
This week we feature Round shape brushes.
Round brushes are the most versatile and widely used brush for watercolor painting. Their shape makes them suitable for small details and delicate lines, but also for broader strokes and washes.
If you're buying your first paint brushes for watercolors, I'd recommend three round brushes: small medium  and large. Because of their versatility, they'll be all you need in the beginning. You could paint an entire painting with just one medium round brush but it is slower and a little inconvenient.
