UK Coloured Pencil Society Open Exhibition

UK Coloured Pencil Society Open Exhibition

It's no secret that ARTdiscount loves coloured pencils, we take great joy in seeing masterpieces created in pencil just as much as any painting. If this intrigues you too, then a Yorkshire day out to the UK Colour Pencil Society 18th International Open Exhibition could be for you.

Peter Nelson 'Safe Harbour'

The level of skill and intricacy is astounding. Last year, best in show was awarded to Peter Nelson (above) for his detailed artwork based on a visit to Mevagissey, a Cornish fishing village. This was created using a clever combination of Derwent Coloursoft, Derwent Artist, Derwent Procolour, Faber Castell Polychromos, and a few Prismacolor on Fabriano Artistico paper.

The exhibition is a showcase of fine art using coloured pencils, featuring both established and emerging artists. All work comprises up to 50% dry coloured pencil and can also include watercolour pencil.

Exhibition opens
Saturday 3rd August to Wednesday 4th September
The Station, Station Yard, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 4LD
Free admission
Open every day 9 am – 9.00pm
