Manga are Japanese comic books or graphic novels, where art and storytelling combine. Traditionally read from right to left, yes the reverse of English books. Manga is a visual language and a recognisable art form, adapted to and from anime, movies, and video games with huge followings.
This summer an exhibition will bring to life the art of manga, offering an introduction to the art; historically, how it emerged in Japan, and its development to becoming a worldwide cultural phenomenon.
Members are free or you can book tickets online.
