"The foremost annual open exhibition for drawing in the UK, the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, founded in 1994 by Anita Taylor and Paul Thomas as the Rexel Derwent Open Drawing Exhibition, was known as Jerwood Drawing Prize from 2001 to 2017 and delivered in partnership with Jerwood Charitable Foundation."
The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize and exhibition has a reputation for celebrating drawing in the UK and recognising the importance of drawing and creating. This competition is open to UK residents only and you can win some brilliant cash prizes.
First Prize: £8000
Second Prize: £5000
Student Award: £2000
I love that this competition is for anyone, whether you are emerging or established you can enter your work and be in with a chance of winning. It's important to do this as there are so many unknown artists, that are waiting for a chance to gain an audience for their work.
The exhibition launch is held in London and then continues to tour around the nation. Meaning your artwork will be viewed by lots of art loving eyes.
Shortlisted exhibitors will be announced in July 2018. The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize winners will be announced in September 2018.
